The cute Bald eaglets hatched this week during thunder showers at the American Eagle Foundation's "Eagle Mountain Sanctuary" aviary at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. All three chicks broke out of their egg shells within a 30-hour period. The chicks can be viewed here on the American Eagle Foundation's Eagle Nest Cam.
The eaglets will be set free into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in about 13 weeks. The American Eagle Foundation says at least one of the birds will be released in a special ceremony to honor fallen U.S. soldiers.

DreamWorks is turning the How to Train Your Dragon book and movie into a live event that will tour North American cities this summer. The tour will be produced by RZO Dragon Productions. It will features 23 dragons, some with wingspans of up to 46 feet. There will also be Viking warriors and world-class circus artists and acrobats, performing against a wall-to-floor immersive projection measuring more than 20,000 square feet. Rarmian Newton and Toothless are pictured in the image above.

Two new studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Cancer Institute reveal that young people under 30 are not getting the message that sun exposure causes deadly skin cancer. One study revealed that 50% of people aged
18-29 reported having at least one sunburn in the past year, despite the fact that they wore sunscreen, sat in the shade more often and wore longer clothing to the ankles.
Another report found that indoor tanning is as popular as ever among
young adults. The highest rates of indoor tanning were found among white women aged 18-21 years (32 percent) and 22-25 years (30 percent). The reports were based on data from the National Health Interview Survey's Cancer Control Supplement. The reports were published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
Marcus Plescia, M.D., M.P.H., director of CDC's Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, said: "More public health efforts, including providing shade and sunscreen in recreational settings, are needed to raise awareness of the importance of sun protection and sunburn prevention to reduce the burden of skin cancer. We must accelerate our efforts to educate young adults about the dangers of indoor tanning to prevent melanoma as this generation ages."
The most common form of cancer in the United States is skin cancer. The deadliest skin cancer is melanoma. The biggest preventable risk factor for skin cancer is exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun and from indoor tanning booths. With the availability of spray tanning and UV-blocking clothing, there really is no excuse to get sunburned. And if the thought of getting skin cancer isn't enough of a deterrent, think of all the wrinkles sun exposure causes. After all, who wants to end up looking like the Tanning Mom? Barilla has captured the Guinness World Record for the biggest pasta box. The box is the first in a series created in partnership with Turkish retail chain Migros Turk. Northpark Mall in Dallas, Texas, has instituted a dress code for patrons and a curfew for teens. The upscale mall was rocked by several violent incidents in the past several years, including one where a customer was shot (she has since recovered and the perpetrators are in jail). The new code requires that anyone under 17 be accompanied by an adult after 6:00 p.m. Teens can go to the movie theater after 6:00 pm but if they aren't with adults, they must leave the mall after the movie is over. Security guards will enforce the new rules which are mostly aimed at getting rid of gangs.
The regulations ban any kind of violence, graffiti or vandalism. The mall has a changing collection of modern sculptures which are worth millions of dollars which was put in the mall by the founder, the late Ray Nasher. All the merchants in the mall are in support of the new regulations. So far 70 malls across the country have implemented similar policies to stop theft and vandalism.
